FRIED APPLE




*ingredients:

°8 ounces dried apples or prunes
°1 cup water
°1/3 cup sugar
°1 tablespoon butter
°1 tsp. Cinnamon 
°1 box jumbo flaky biscuits
°vegetable oil for fry

* Methods :

Blending apples and water in  saucepan; Bring to  boil. Covering, reduce heat, also simmer for 30 min or to tender. Remove from heat and allow to cool, mashing slightly if pieces are large. Stir in sugar and butter. Set the mixture aside.

If using fresh apples: For the filling: Add 2 tablespoons butter to a large skillet and melt. Add 4 peeled, seeded, and chopped apples, sugar, cinnamon, and 1 teaspoon lemon juice and cook over medium heat until apples are soft, about 15 minutes. Remove from heat, mash slightly and cool.)

Roll each biscuit into a 5-inch circle on a lightly floured surface. Place about 1 tablespoon of the apple mixture on one half of each cookie circle. To seal the pancakes, dip the fingers in the water and moisten the edges of the circles. Fold in half, making sure the edges are even. Using a fork dipped in flour, press the ends firmly to seal.

Pour the oil to a depth of 1/2 inch in a heavy skillet or use a deep fryer. Fry the pancakes in hot oil (370 degrees) over medium-high heat until golden, turning once. Don't be in a rush because you want to make sure the biscuits are fully cooked.
Drain it well on paper towels.
